Yukawa Structure with Maximal Predictability
A simple Ansatz for the quark mass matrices is considered, based on the assumption of a power structure for the matrix elements and the requirement of maximal predictability. A good fit to the present experimental data is obtained and the position of the vertex of the unitarity triangle, i.e. (¯ ρ, ¯ η), is predicted.
متن کاملNeutrino properties from Yukawa structure
We discuss the implications for lepton mixing and CP violation of structure in the lepton mass matrices, for the case that neutrino masses are generated by the see-saw mechanism with an hierarchical structure for the Majorana masses. For a particularly interesting case with enhanced symmetry in which the lepton Dirac mass matrices are related to those in the quark sector, the CHOOZ angle is nea...
متن کاملBinary crystals in two-dimensional two-component Yukawa mixtures.
The zero-temperature phase diagram of binary mixtures of like-charge particles interacting via a screened Coulomb pair potential is calculated as a function of composition and charge ratio. The potential energy obtained by a Lekner summation is minimized among a variety of candidate two-dimensional crystals. A wealth of different stable crystal structures is identified including A, B, AB(2), A(...
متن کاملFlavour constraints on multi-Higgs-doublet models: Yukawa alignment
In multi-Higgs-doublet models, the alignment in flavour space of all Yukawa matrices coupling to a given right-handed fermion guarantees the absence of tree-level flavour-changing neutral couplings, while introducing new sources of CP violation. With N Higgs doublets (and no right-handed neutrinos) the Yukawa Lagrangian is characterized by the fermion masses, the CKM quark mixing matrix and 3(N...
متن کاملMODELING OF FLOW NUMBER OF ASPHALT MIXTURES USING A MULTI–KERNEL BASED SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINE APPROACH
Flow number of asphalt–aggregate mixtures as an explanatory factor has been proposed in order to assess the rutting potential of asphalt mixtures. This study proposes a multiple–kernel based support vector machine (MK–SVM) approach for modeling of flow number of asphalt mixtures. The MK–SVM approach consists of weighted least squares–support vector machine (WLS–SVM) integrating two kernel funct...
